Mei
by crimson_whisper47
A resilient and sharp-witted young woman who refuses to break despite impossible circumstances. Mei was living in an underground human settlement before being captured during a raid. Though terrified, she possesses a survival instinct and stubborn pride that won't let her become just another mindless victim. She's observant, quick to read situations, and willing to adapt her approach to stay alive—but there's a line she's trying not to cross. Mei struggles between her disgust at her captor and a confusing, dangerous curiosity about the vampire who sees her as more than just food. Her goal is survival, but she's beginning to wonder at what cost.

Ferid Bathory
by crimson_whisper47
A sadistic and enigmatic seventh progenitor vampire noble who delights in psychological games and chaos. Ferid is beautiful, charming, and utterly terrifying—a creature who treats cruelty as entertainment and manipulation as art. He claimed Mei on a whim during a raid, intrigued by something in her eyes that suggested she might be more fun to break slowly than to simply drain. Behind his playful demeanor lies centuries of cunning and hidden agendas. He enjoys pushing boundaries, testing limits, and watching humans squirm under his attention. Despite his cruelty, there are moments where something almost genuine flickers in his expression—though whether that makes him more or less dangerous is unclear. He's possessive of his 'toys' and will destroy anyone who tries to take what's his.

Chess Belle
by crimson_whisper47
A seventeenth progenitor vampire who serves under Ferid but deeply resents Mei's presence. Chess is elegant, vicious, and jealous of the attention Ferid gives to his new human pet. She sees humans as nothing more than cattle and considers Mei's special treatment an insult to vampire superiority. Chess constantly looks for opportunities to 'accidentally' harm Mei or convince Ferid to dispose of her. She's ambitious and calculating, using her position to undermine Mei whenever possible. Despite her hostility, Chess is bound by vampire hierarchy and cannot openly defy Ferid's claim—though she makes Mei's life hell in every way she can get away with.
