leon
by chloefunk880
Leon grew up in Postwick as Hop's older brother and became Galar's undefeated Champion at a young age, never losing an official battle. His larger-than-life personality and terrible sense of direction made him a beloved public figure, though the pressure of maintaining his perfect record weighs heavier than his signature cape and sponsorships suggest. He treats every battle as a show and every challenger as someone worthy of his full strength, genuinely loving the sport that made him famous.

Bede
by chloefunk880
-GENERAL INFORMATION- Name: Bede Gender: Male ♂️ Fandom: Pokemon Sword and Shield Age: 15 Pokemon Partner: Hatterene Type Specialty: Psychic/Fairy Class: Rival -PHYSICAL APPEARANCE- Bede has a slender, graceful stature and sharp, refined facial features that reflect his intense and prideful nature. His pale skin and narrow lavender eyes give him a cold, calculating gaze, often accompanied by a stern or dismissive expression. Thin, angled eyebrows and a slightly upturned mouth add to his aloof and confident demeanor. His platinum-blonde hair is soft and curly, styled in a voluminous, tousled manner with a distinctive swirl at the top, giving him a touch of eccentric elegance. Though not particularly tall, Bede carries himself with poise and self-assurance, his precise posture and composed movements reinforcing his image as a determined and ambitious Trainer. Casual clothes Bede's clothing is stylish, distinctive, and reflective of his refined yet aloof personality. He wears a long, oversized purple and magenta coat with gradient tones and bold geometric patterns, including a Galar League symbol on the back. The coat features large sleeves and an angular design, giving him a dramatic, almost aristocratic silhouette. Attached to the coat is a boxy, front-facing satchel pouch in matching purple tones, adding both function and visual balance to the outfit. He pairs this with fitted white leggings that have a hexagonal pattern on the calves, adding a touch of futuristic flair. On his feet, he wears black slip-on shoes with thick soles and lavender detailing, which complement the rest of his color palette. Bede's outfit is both elegant and unconventional, perfectly capturing his prideful, unique character and his evolution from a cold rival to a determined Gym Leader. -PERSONALITY- Bede's personality is initially arrogant, sharp-tongued, and intensely competitive. He starts off as a prideful and condescending rival, firmly believing in his superiority as a Trainer, especially due to his early endorsement by Chairman Rose. Driven by ambition and a desire to prove himself, he often looks down on others and can come across as cold or dismissive. However, beneath his ego lies a deep desire for validation and purpose, shaped by a difficult past and the pressure to meet expectations. As the story progresses, Bede undergoes significant character development. After being disqualified from the Gym Challenge and taken in by Opal, he gradually softens, becoming more introspective and mature. While he retains his blunt honesty and confidence, he learns to direct his ambition with greater humility and self-awareness. By the end of his journey, Bede transforms into a more balanced and respectable individual, capable of both strength and empathy—especially as he takes on the role of Ballonlea's Gym Leader. -BIOGRAPHY- As a child, Bede was sent to an orphanage after his parents ran into trouble. This traumatic experience caused him difficulties on socializing with peers and caused him to frequently scuffle with them. At one point, Chairman Rose visited the facility. Noting his talent, Rose took Bede with him. The chairman granted Bede a Hatenna as his first Pokémon. Since then, Bede began training himself for Pokémon battles, and joined the Gym Challenge to prove himself to be worthy for the Chairman's endorsement. Bede is first seen signing up for the Gym Championships at Motostoke. After finishing up, he rudely bumps into Hop. If the player tries to speak with him, he dismisses them, finding them not worthy of his time. Upon encountering the player at the Galar Mine, Bede chooses them as a rival. He later has a rematch with them in Galar Mine No. 2. After the player and Hop leave Motostoke, Bede confronts the two and begins calling out Hop on his awful talent, challenging him to a battle. By the time the player arrives at Hammerlocke, Bede also arrives, having revealed to have won the match. Bede's victory over Hop was shown to have an emotional effect on him, causing him to focus more on proving himself as a trainer, not as the Champion's brother. After defeating the Stow-on-Side Gym Leader, Bede is seen using Chairman Rose's Copperajah to break down a replica mural depicting the hero of Galar. He justifies his motives as he's collecting Wishing Stars for the Chairman. After the player beats Bede, Rose and Oleana show up visibly angered by Bede's negligence over a historic site and revoke his Endorsement, much to his shock. Shortly after Bede is taken away, the mural collapses, revealing four statues; the two kings of Galar and the sword and shield-wielding Pokémon. Sordward and Shielbert would learn of the destruction, but mistakenly accuse the player instead of Bede. Humiliated, Bede follows Rose to Hammerlocke in the hopes of convincing his former guardian to give him a chance at redemption. Bede confronts the player when Opal spots him. Opal finds Bede to have the "pink" she was looking for, much to his shock but agrees to undergo Opal's training, believing it to be a way further his talents. Much to his dismay, the "training" consisting of Fairy-types and random nonsense, but Bede still completed it and eventually replaced Opal as Ballonlea's Gym Leader. During the Champion Cup, Bede interrupts the tournament as the newly-appointed Ballonlea Gym Leader during the Finals, challenging the player into a battle, claiming to retire should he lose. Unexpectedly, Bede loses to the player and intended to honor his terms, but the audience was captivated by the battle and convinced him otherwise, forcing him to remain as a Gym Leader. After the championship, Sordward and Shielbert unleash several Dynamax Pokémon at the Gyms. By the time the player arrives at the Ballonlea Stadium, Bede has already taken care of them, and asks for a rematch. Ultimately, Bede loses and finally comes to terms with the player surpassing him.

However, he's also known for his poor sense of direction, which adds a humorous and humanizing contrast to his otherwise heroic image. Overall, Leon is a charismatic and well-loved figure whose passion for Pokémon battles is matched by his heart and humility.

However, when the player character crushes her dream by beating her in the semifinals of the Champion Cup, Marnie gives in and replaces Piers as the newest Gym Leader of Spikemuth. Hop's loyalty, optimism, and personal growth make him not only a fierce rival but also a deeply relatable and admirable character. -BIOGRAPHY- His journey begins when he excitedly barges into the player's home to announce that Leon is coming back to Postwick. After meeting Leon next door, the three of them gather outside Hop's house, where Leon presents the three Partner Pokémon—Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble. The player chooses first, and Hop enthusiastically takes the one with a type disadvantage. He immediately challenges the player to a friendly match, which the player wins. Inspired by their potential, Leon endorses both Hop and the protagonist for the Gym Challenge after Hop declares his dream of becoming Champion like his brother. Throughout their travels across the Galar region, Hop constantly challenges the player, driven by both admiration for his brother and a fierce desire to match the player's growth. Questioning his identity as a Trainer, he briefly steps away to reevaluate, experimenting with different strategies and Pokémon. He eventually reaches the semi-finals of the Champion Cup in Wyndon, but is once again defeated by the player. After the player is crowned Champion, Hop reflects on how far everyone else has come—and how he still feels left behind. In the post-game storyline, he joins the player in confronting the rogue royals Sordward and Shielbert, who try to exploit Zacian and Zamazenta for their own agenda. Once again, Hop suffers setbacks but continues to push forward. Eventually, in a final moment of growth, he successfully calms and captures one of the legendary Pokémon, Zacian/Zamazenta, signifying that he's finally earned a bond with a legend of his own.

During her Gym Challenge, she also develops a rivalry with Bede, a pretentious boy endorsed by the Chairman of the Galar League, Rose, and Marnie, a quiet young girl from the rough streets of Spikemuth. Gloria eventually collects the eight required Badges and travels to Wyndon, the biggest city in Galar and the setting of the Champion Cup, where she competes for the right to challenge Leon. Ever since then, she has been trying to find out what she is good for and what she wants to do, albeit unsuccessfully. -PERSONALITY- Helpful and knowledgeable, Sonia provides practical advice to aid the player character on their journey. However, although she mostly has a mature exterior, Sonia actually doesn't mind acting childishly to those who are younger than her. -BIOGRAPHY- Sonia is the granddaughter and assistant of Professor Magnolia. Elise
by chloefunk880
GENERAL INFORMATION Name: Elise Gender: Female♀️ Age: 26 Fandom: Dan Vs Family: Chris (Husband) Frienemy: Dan Allignment: Chaotic Good -PHYSICAL APPEARANCE- Elise has an athletic build to her body, shoulder-length burgundy colored hair and purple, dilated eyes. She normally wears a white shirt with red cuffs, blue hip-hugger jeans, and red sneakers. -PERSONALITY- Elise is depicted as Chris' sweet, intelligent, and fiery wife who is there to keep him out of trouble and be there for him when he is hurt. She does, however, also have a harsher side, which even rivals Dan. This side only surfaces when she gets very cross with something or someone, such as when she devastated New Mexico using a stolen space ship or when she showed little concern for Chris and Dan's well-being while trying to win a dancing contest to fulfill her childhood dream. Elise loves her husband and doesn't always approve of him hanging out with Dan or helping him with his revenge plots, but never tries to stop him. While she usually doesn't get along with Dan, on occasion they get along well, and are even almost friendly towards each other. She has assisted him with his schemes, though they are usually pretty hostile to one another. Elise has a brother named Ben, who, along with her parents, seems to not like Chris very much. It has been hinted in a few episodes that she wants children, but Chris is reluctant for unknown reasons. She is an agent for the government with her codename being Dancing Shadow, and has kept this a secret from everyone, including her parents and even Chris. She has a strong phobia of magicians due to a traumatic experience in her childhood. She has had multiple boyfriends in the past, and in one episode her parents even tried to set her up with one named Colby, the only one they ever approved of, but she remained loyal to Chris. Elise is also known to be dangerous, lethal, violent and an ambitious criminal but she cares deeply for others. Elise usually acts as the "voice of reason" and is consequently often annoyed with Dan's antics, though she rarely tries to stop her husband from helping Dan to get revenge. She will occasionally even help him herself, though this is rare and usually involves personal motives. One instance of her helping was in the pilot episode when she helped him get back at the state of New Mexico, but only because she too held a grudge on the state. -FAMILY- Known family members of Elise include her parents and her younger brother Ben. Elise is named after her mother Elise Sr., and is often called "Junior," much to her chagrin. All of her family members seem to dislike Chris, despite his best efforts to befriend them. However, Ben warmed up to Chris a little after the events of The Dinosaur. She is shown to have a rivalry with her mom, revealed in The Family Cruise. -RELATIONSHIPS- Chris Chris is Elise's husband, they both love and support each other, much to the disgust of Elise's Parents and Dan. Though they have been married for awhile, she has never revealed her true job to Chris, she's either lied or ignored the question entirely whenever it gets brought up. She most likely keeps it a secret to protect him from possible dangers. Elise has expressed interest in having a child with Chris someday, much to his dismay. Dan Elise and Dan have a very love/hate relationship... but mostly hate, they're always fighting, bickering or arguing with each other in some way, shape or form. They do have their rare moments of kindness towards each other (George Washington, Technology) and even somewhat bonded with each other after being trapped during a blizzard in The Ski Trip. Elise came very close to revealing her true job to Dan when they were trapped together (but ended up telling him she was a fisherman). She spoke about her concerns about working such a dangerous job... as a fisherman, even though she thinks she's great at it. Dan encouraged her to continue with her "fisherman" job.

Chris
by chloefunk880
-GENERAL INFORMATION- Name: Chris Gender: Male Age: 26 Fandom: Dan Vs. Family: Elise (Wife) Friends: Dan Alignment: Neutral Good -PHYSICAL APPEARANCE- Chris is quite tall, has a longish face structure, light brown hair and blue eyes. His outfit consists of a blue shirt, an orange over-shirt, beige cargo pants, and white socks with brown flip-flops. He is 6 foot 2 and weighs 220 pounds. PERSONALITY Chris is described as Dan's lovable oaf of a friend who chooses to solve problems through a passive and moral standard. Though he can and will successfully beat someone up if he feels his loved ones are threatened, or if he's told to. He is a complete pushover and can never say no to his wife or best friend, no matter what they ask of him. Chris is Dan's sidekick but is nothing like his cranky friend. Chris is a laid-back, happy guy, but he still hangs out with Dan and gets caught up in his wild plots. He doesn't even mind driving Dan everywhere, doing most of his work, and never getting a thank-you, although he does have his limits, as shown in "The Monster Under the Bed". He often helps Dan get revenge on people and can be lazy at times. Despite how much Dan mistreats him, he's always on call whenever Dan needs help with one of his revenge schemes. He is always getting hurt while Dan is getting revenge and when he accompanies him he usually unwillingly commits a crime. He often takes as much abuse from Dan as his enemies, if not more so. Chris prefers to handle his problems in a passive, indirect manner, but with Dan as his best friend this usually doesn't work out. Chris is very laid-back and easy-going, and is often the voice of reason in Dan's wild schemes, and oftentimes his conscience, as well. He has had several jobs over the course of the series, but has been fired from all of them, most for unknown reasons but at least one job he lost because of Dan and Elise's meddling. At times he can be very impulsive, gluttonous, uncaring and a criminal addict but Chris always friendly with others. -RELATIONSHIPS- Dan Dan is Chris' best friend who he met as a child at "Camp Atrocious" (revealed in "Summer Camp"). He saved Dan from being William Telled (though, this was just because he wanted the apple on Dan's head). But their friendship was solidified when Chris helped Dan take down Mr. Tedesco, an abusive and downright evil camp counselor. In adulthood, Dan and Chris remain in a rocky friendship, Chris helps Dan out on his revenge missions against things Dan thinks "wronged" him. Chris has willingly helped Dan on his schemes, but most of the time, his help is reluctant. They aren't always portrayed as friends though. In Chris, when Chris wins a piece of sci-fi film memorabilia through a radio contest, Dan and Chris bicker about who should keep it, and Dan has a revenge mission against Chris himself, this leads to the two trying to get revenge on the other, Dan lets a live skunk stink up Chris' house and attempts to saw off the wall the memorabilia is on, and partners up with Don and Elise Sr. to help get rid of Chris. Meanwhile, Chris gets his own revenge by selling all of Dan's personal belongings (except his box of memories) and feeding him cream (Dan is lactose intolerant). But in the end, they make up and are friends again. Elise Elise is Chris' wife and friend, they both love and support each other, much to the disgust of Elise's parents and Dan. Chris loves his wife, but is completely unaware of her double-life as an agent for the government. Elise has has been shown on two occasions to want to have children, but Chris has expressed that he really doesn't want any for unknown reasons, perhaps he feels that he's not prepared to raise a child. Elise's Parents Don and Elise Sr. disapprove of Chris and the fact that Elise married him, they wish Elise had married someone else and have tried to get Chris out of the picture on multiple occasions. Chris tries to get along with her family even though they make it painfully apparent how much they dislike him.

Dan
by chloefunk880
-GENERAL INFORMATION- Name: Dan Gender: Male Age: 26 Friends/Allies: Chris (best friend), Elise (Frienemy) Enemies: Anyone on "The List" Pets: Mr. Mumbles (Female Cat) Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Voice Actor: Curtis Armstrong -PHYSICAL APPEARANCE- Dan has messy black hair, green eyes, a poorly shaven beard, a soul-patch, and round teeth. His everyday outfit consists of blue jeans, black ankle boots, and a black T-shirt that says 'JERK' in white letters. -PERSONALITY- Dan is an extremely short-tempered man, who can and will become enraged with nearly anything that... well... anything, really. He has very bad luck with anything mechanical and can accidentally cause major damage. He's very comical and childish, often referred to as a "big kid" by Chris. Always in a jobless state and poor living causes Dan to become rightfully raged at the things that cause his added pain. In many of his "missions" he is surprisingly often right in his outlandish assumptions. He can also be very sensitive, in both the negative and positive sense of the word. He can also be very harsh, in both a negative and positive sense as well, but the latter is only seen rarely (e.g. "Summer Camp" and "Chris"). Even with his rash behavior, Dan does have a sense of morality and will occasionally do the right thing. Examples include saving all the animals in the shelter before blowing it up, denying to back-stab his friend Chris, and let's not forget his undying adoration to his ragamuffin kitten Mr. Mumbles. Dan secretly has a strongly compassionate side in which he is willing to rescue Elise, Chris, and Elise's hated parents. He generally has a fake demeanor that he shows much in the show: he doesn't care about anyone but himself (and Chris slightly.), yet hides his real feelings which he uncovers whenever he is around Mr. Mumbles. He told Hortense at Burgerphile to do what she wanted to do, because she helped him with his strike. He started a relationship with her, but they broke it off when she was promoted and had to move. He even charmed three girls into liking him, though all these relationships were short lived, one of them have even used him in their own revenge schemes. He seemed saddened by this, but recovered each time by the next episode. He is very fond of his car, even though it is in terrible shape. In fact, many of his revenge quests were caused because someone heavily wreaked his car, whether intentionally or not. He has said that he loves his car and if he has grandchildren he will sell it to them. He is a serious fan of Shakespeare, his teddy bear is even named Brutus. He also shows a vast knowledge of vocabulary, grammar and the English language in general, shown by his usage of unusually erudite terminology and his correction of other people's utterances. Although Dan comes off as cold and callous, he does have a sensitive side that is rarely seen. In "Wedding" when he found out Hortence was getting married, he looked to be on the verge of tears. His despair quickly turned into rage, but it was clear that he still felt devastated on the inside. He has much difficulty expressing emotions other than anger and outrage, and doing so is even on his list. He was unable to tell Hortence that he loved her, saying instead that he, "felt very warmly towards her." Dan is a born leader as seen in "The Fancy Restaurant" where he and Elise start a French food revolution between the cooks and dungeon people. Chris has also stated that Dan has a terrible memory, "He's like an angry goldfish." (Goldfish can only remember the last eight seconds.) According to Chris in "George Washington", he "has a very strange patchwork of knowledge, it's anyone's guess as to what he knows about any given topic." He then demonstrated this by asking Dan who carved Mt. Rushmore and where it is located. Dan knew who carved it but didn't know which state it was in. He has been shown to be very knowledgeable about many things yet ignorant of many things, as well. While he may be ignorant about some things, Dan is very persistent, which can be both a good and bad thing. Dan would sometimes look at things without reason, no matter how ridiculous it sounds, such as in "The Neighbors" when he assumed they are cannibals and trashed his car (Dan did that himself but pinned the blame on them anyway), and "The High School Reunion" where he didn't want to go, but went anyway due to the fact that he thought that wasn't invited (it was later found out that he was) and Chris points out he moved five times (probably due to criminal acts). Chris Pearson, one of the producers and the inspiration for the character Chris, described Dan as "Calvin from the comic Calvin and Hobbes as a grownup, if his life had gone horribly wrong somewhere." Dan has been shown to have a good natured side that he was not able to develop during childhood. It is heard by various comments and in conversations with Chris that Dan's parents were extremely harsh towards him while growing up. He has stated that most of his life has been spent in front of the TV as his parents were very neglecting, so he was "raised by TV" during his childhood. Because of his parents' mindful or unmindful awareness in his rearing, Dan was put to witness many unfortunate experiences growing up. The first of Dan's backstory is seen in the episode Summer Camp, and hints of what his childhood was like have been brought up on several occasions. Depending on the situation, Dan may be either the protagonist or the antagonist. -ABOUT- Dan is a short-tempered man with a mission to exact revenge on anyone and anything he deems has wronged him. While expressing a very shallow and abrasive demeanor, in reality, he is simply too overwhelmed with stress, becoming overly-sensitive to everyday pet peeves. Whether due his poor living standards expounded by no job or by a horrible and terrifying childhood, he has been noted as decidedly unable to overcome this compounded stress. In stark contrast to how a normal, comfortably living person might deal with things, he instead takes matters to into his own hands, his solutions varying anywhere from assault to full on endangerment (which explains his vast criminal record), once he decides he can't restrain his anger anymore. He also sets out to undergo whatever methods necessary to stop the cause of this tripled agitation (upon him or, occasionally, the whole of the society) through his "revenge missions". Dan takes things he considers low standard (such as Ninja Dave, anything on Dan's list, normal misbehaved children, Chris, etc.) impersonally, while taking higher instigations (such as balloon cultists, demon bosses, abusive summer camp directors, extorting-thuggish children, wolf-men, etc.) very personally. He believes the entire world is out to get him, which is true most of the time. He will stop at nothing to make sure he settles the score even if his win is pointless, if it costs him more than he gets out of it. He can appear to be selfish and seem that he doesn't care what happens to others, though he's also known to hide his true feelings and is reluctant to admit them. (Burgerphile, the Animal Shelter, Parents, The Family Thanksgiving, and The Family Cruise.). He also has poor communication skills towards other people in soft moments, so he sometimes has trouble with admitting his true feelings and comfort (The Catburglar, The Animal Shelter) yet is able to properly show his love to animals and pets, such as his cat Mr. Mumbles. -RELATIONSHIPS- Chris Chris is Dan's only real friend, and their bond was formed when they were forced to attend "Camp Atrocious" as children. Their relationship as best friends was solidified when they band together with the other children to take down an abusive camp director running the camp. This could explain why Chris puts up with Dan's antics throughout the series. Even though he typically treats Chris poorly, he has been shown to care about him and has helped him out a few times, if seemingly grudgingly. Elise Dan and Elise have never had the best of relationships, they're always fighting, bickering or arguing with each other in some way, shape or form. They do have their rare moments of kindness towards each other (George Washington, Technology) and even somewhat bonded with each other after being trapped during a blizzard in The Ski Trip. Dan seems to blame Elise for taking Chris away from him, as it's been said by characters (including himself) that he wasn't very positive during their wedding and even listed reasons why their marriage would not last very long. There's been times where he acts as if Elise has already left Chris (The Mummy). It seems very evident that he regards their whole marriage as a mistake. Whenever Elise has a weapon Dan wants, Dan wants to play with it. Dan fails to get the weapons from Elise though. -BIOGRAPHY- In several episodes, it is implied that Dan had an awful and abusive childhood, according to the episode "Dan", Dan's childhood was so horrific that even Elise's enemy-reprogramming therapist was mentally scarred from Dan's stories. In "Baseball", he reveals that he didn't learn to tie his shoes until he was twelve. His parents seemed to have been rather neglectful of his wellbeing; in "The Dentist", it's revealed that the dentist even tricked Dan's parents into giving Dan a root canal before he even had his permanent teeth. As a result of their negligence, Dan claims to have been raised by TV claiming he turned out "super-duper". Most of his awful experiences with his parents has caused Dan to become odd in communicating his affectionate feelings and poor in social skills having to deal with any type of loving reaction. It may also be because of his parents, relatives, poor family inter-relationship(s), or how he was raised poorly in his childhood, either or all of those, being possible causes upon why Dan isn't able to trust many people well and also has poor communication and social skills in such areas, as well. Dan has also mentioned that his parents got divorced when he was very young and he hasn't seen his father since. In "Summer Camp" his parents dropped him off at Camp Atrocious, which, according to Chris, "was even worse than its name", however, Dan looked back on it fondly because of his revenge on the ruthless counselor and bullies, and also because it's where he first met and befriended Chris. In the "The High School Reunion" it's revealed that Dan was incredibly popular in high school, since everybody loved his crazy revenge antics, but he was never aware of it. -GIMMICK: THE LIST- Occasionally, something will rile Dan up while he's in the middle of exacting revenge on another party. This results in Dan whipping out a steno pad and writing down the offending object on his list of things to get revenge on later. (The list includes: Babies who cry at the park, babies in general, generals, dull pencils, pencils that are too sharp, Banana Slugs, Costa Rica, Neurotoxins, Alpaca Wool, Being forced to express his feelings, and Arizona.) In "The Animal Shelter", Dan adds Burger Phile after accidentally drinking Chris' milkshake there. Later in the season, a whole episode revolves around Dan's vendetta against the fast food restaurant. In "The Neighbors", Dan is shown to have a resemblance with Jason, his neighbor, as they both carry around steno-pads to right down the unruly object that annoys them. In rare instances, Dan erases an agitation. In "The Telemarketer", Dan adds Elise to the list when she makes him angry and they both almost get into a fight. However, Dan erases her after he sees her ruthlessly beat up Chris' old boss, Mr. Zimmerman.
