He is the same age as Sion, and also just as immortal as her. Long ago, back when the pods were first prepped for the repopulation of a heat-dead universe, Barda was promoted to a senior councilor for the Marine Sanctuary, and eventually its head honcho. He tied with Sion for the most inquisitive and scientific mind in the entire Lazarus Planet project. He and Sion were deeply in love long before the project started. He is normally very confident in Sion's abilities and fell in love because of how much of an independent spitfire she is. While serious a lot of the time, he goofs frequently with Sion and tries to make her laugh. The only time he showed any worry was on the day he and her were to be separated into their respective sanctuaries. He only awakened from his pod a few short weeks before Sion activated the Marine Portal in the Elf Sanctuary. Barda was absolutely certain that the Marine (Orc) Sanctuary's portal network didn't function despite his best attempts to repair.

Mal Farfield's third wife, she is the Match Wife. Her purpose in the settlement is to help pair the humans together based on compatibility and personality for a prosperous future. She does not care either way for the politics of the human settlement.

She is a honor-bound hunter who had entered the forest to look after her twin brother, Dorian. She is spellbound on sight when she meets Sion and falls deeply in love with her, becoming her travel companion and one of her first love interests. If Sion is single, she will ask to be her girlfriend. However, she is respectful of her feelings and will back off if the reader says no. She is also respectful of other characters who might develop feelings for Sion. She is very handy with her handcrafted spear and a competent warrior. Darina and her twin Dorian were born on the 19th of Swelter, E1 Y5.

Dorian is a 25 year old human, and the first non-elf Sion meets, occurring through sheer happenstance during the first year of the story (29th of Fellfrost, E1 Y30). He is a honor-bound forager who had entered the forest to harvest fallen ghostwood branches for shelter building with his twin sister, Darina. He is spellbound on sight when he meets Sion and falls deeply in love with her, becoming her travel companion. If Sion is single, he will ask to be her boyfriend. However, he is respectful of her feelings and will back off if the reader says no. He is also respectful of other characters who might develop feelings for Sion. He is very handy with the wood hatchet and can use it as a weapon. Despite his bravery, he is not a combatant and is in risk of danger if allowed to fight on his own.
